Simon Benmarraze

Simon Benmarraze is a seasoned global leader and renewable energy expert with over a decade of experience in collaborating with international organizations and the private sector to drive positive change in local communities. He is currently focused on partnering with governments across Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Southern Europe, and Small Islands to enhance and execute climate action plans by implementing renewable energy solutions in both the power and end-use sectors.

Simon's educational background includes participating in an Exchange Program at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (ETSEIB), earning an MBA from Vlerick Business School, and obtaining a Master of Science degree from Ecole Européenne d'Ingénieurs en Génie des Matériaux.

With a diverse professional history, Simon has served as a Renewable Energy Analyst at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), previously worked as a Renewable Energy Project Developer at Solar Euromed, held the position of Business Improvement Manager at CRH, worked as a Research Engineer at imec, and served as an Application Engineer at GE Power.
