Simba Marekera is a seasoned impact investment executive with a passion for financing businesses that empower underserved communities.

He currently holds the position of Head of Investment Solutions at Brightlight Group, where he collaborates with various entities in impact investing markets to facilitate access to opportunities and manage impact portfolios.

Prior to his role at Brightlight Group, Simba managed alternative, fixed income, and Impact Investment portfolios at Christian Super, overseeing commitments of nearly $150 million in Impact Investments.

Simba is also the Co-Founder of Ignition Impact, an Angel Network investing in high-growth, high-impact African SMEs, and Co-Founder of EdFin, a fintech company offering responsible education financing for international students.

With a background in Socially Responsible Investment, Impact Investment, Portfolio Management, and more, Simba excels in credit analysis, due diligence, and fund manager research.

His educational achievements include a Master's in Social Change Leadership from the University of Melbourne, a Master's in Applied Finance from Western Sydney University, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Yale University.
