Silvia Pease is a prominent sustainable strategic designer, entrepreneur, and educator with a rich background in developing branding and integrated visual projects for International markets. She is the founder of 1231org and Pease Design, as well as the co-founder of Carregal Pease. Pease is highly regarded for her clear vision, creative thinking, outstanding management, and teaching abilities. She is a passionate communicator and an award-winning designer and art director.
Currently, Silvia Pease holds the position of Assistant Professor of Design at Florida International University and is also an IDSVA Fellow. Her educational journey includes a focus on Philosophy of Aesthetics and Art Theory. Pease has a wealth of experience in higher education teaching and e-learning. Her expertise lies in multi-platform design, UX/UI design, aesthetics, fine arts, research, branding, art direction, and concept development. She is known for her team leadership skills and contributions to Design for Social Change projects.
Throughout her career, Silvia Pease has been involved in various organizations and held key positions such as Principal at Studio 1231, Board member and Chair of Education at AIGA Design, Vice President of UX Global Branding Design at IDGMI, Executive Creative Director at Reel, and Creative Director at Reader's Digest Association, among others. She has also been a branding consultant for notable companies like Guggenheim Partners and has co-founded several design groups.
Silvia Pease's educational background includes pursuing a PhD in Philosophy of Aesthetics and Art Theory, as well as holding Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, respectively. Her specialties encompass creative and critical thinking, branding, integrated visual projects, and leadership in the field of design.
