Other significant organizations she has collaborated with include Gannett/GO Digital, Cision, and Marriott. Her diverse career path across high-profile companies showcases her versatility and adaptability in the fast-evolving tech landscape.
Engagement in Tech Inclusion and Diversity
Beyond her impressive design background, Sibyl Edwards is a staunch advocate for tech inclusion and diversity. In 2017, she co-founded Black Female Founders (#BFF), a social impact initiative aimed at elevating the voices of Black women entrepreneurs. Under her leadership as former CEO, #BFF has grown into a vibrant community, providing awareness, support, and essential resources to aspiring businesswomen. Furthermore, she pioneered #BFF Labs, an innovative 10-week accelerator program designed to equip early-stage entrepreneurs with the tools and insights necessary for success in today’s competitive marketplace. Sibyl’s dedication to uplifting marginalized voices in entrepreneurship has made her a valued speaker at various panels focusing on tech inclusion and entrepreneurial journeys.
Leadership Roles and Contributions
Sibyl’s commitment to empowering women in technology extends into her role as President of DC Web Women (DCWW). Under her leadership, DCWW has become one of the largest and longest-standing tech nonprofits in Washington, D.C., dedicated to advocating for women and girls in internet and tech-related fields. She successfully launched several initiatives, such as the Code(Her) Conference, which is D.C.'s first conference tailored for women in technology. Additionally, she organized Tech the Halls, the biggest holiday gathering in the region for technologists, fostering a supportive community of innovation and creativity.
Before her current endeavors, she served as Executive Director for DC Innovates (DCI), where she drove efforts to foster a diverse tech innovation ecosystem in Washington, D.C. She managed the Digital DC Technology Fund, which served as the first $1 million catalytic fund for early-stage technology ventures in the District, ensuring that emerging tech entrepreneurs received the necessary funding and support to thrive.

Sibyl has formal training from renowned institutions, having studied at the Corcoran College of Art + Design and the Art Institute of Dallas. This educational background serves as the foundation for her artistic talents and innovation, informing her approach to design and branding.
