Shivani Siroya

Shivani Siroya is the founder and CEO of Tala, a leading financial technology company that focuses on providing financial services to underserved populations in emerging markets. Tala offers instant, personalized credit through its smartphone app, serving millions of customers in regions such as East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.12

Before founding Tala, Shivani Siroya worked in various roles related to global health, microfinance, and investment banking, including positions at the United Nations Population Fund, Health Net, Citigroup, and UBS. She holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University.13 Siroya is also recognized as an Aspen Institute Finance Leader Fellow, a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a Senior TED Fellow, and an Ashoka Fellow.1
