Shira Strauss

Shira Strauss is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background, including a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University, a Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University, a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Ottawa, and participation in a Vascular Surgery Residency Program at the University of Ottawa.

Currently, Shira Strauss holds the position of Resident Physician in Vascular Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital. Prior to this role, Shira gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant in the Cardiovascular ICU at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Shira has also served as the Undergraduate Board Vice President at The Sharewood Project, a First Responder at Magen David Adom in Israel, a Student Researcher at Tufts University Department of Biology, and a Summer Research Assistant at UCLA Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.

Shira's professional journey includes roles such as an ECG Assistant at Hadassa Medical centers the Hebrew University Jerusalem and a Camp Counselor at Camp Kadimah.
