Shibasish Shibasish Dasgupta is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in Data & Statistical Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Florida and has a strong educational background, including an MPhil in Statistics & Machine Learning from the University of Pune. Currently, he serves as the Senior Manager/Associate Director, Biostatistics at Pfizer, a global leader in biopharmaceuticals. Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor in Statistics & Data Science at the prestigious Chennai Mathematical Institute.

Before his tenure at Pfizer, Shibasish was the Chief Data Scientist at the Global Data Insight & Analytics team of Ford Motor Company. His role involved providing valuable insights for evidence-based decision-making to drive business strategies. Prior to this, he held academic positions as an Assistant Professor of Statistics at the University of South Alabama and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Statistics at Miami University.

Notably, Shibasish has a research background as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. His expertise includes high dimensional inference and variable selection. He has also been actively involved in academia, serving as a Teaching Assistant and Instructor at the University of Florida. Before his academic pursuits in the U.S., he gained industry experience in India at TATA Research Development & Design Center and Persistent Systems.
