Senior Research Engineer and Associate Investigator (APNT) at Stanford University

Associate Investigator for the Stanford University efforts on the FAA Alternative Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) Program.  APNT is a NextGen program that will provide a robust navigation capability to sustain operations in the event of GPS unavailability

Associate Investigator for the Stanford University efforts on the Department of Transportation's technical evaluation of Loran.  In this role, I help to coordinated and organized the evaluation team and chairs several of the technical working groups.  I am also active on the technical analysis of many of major hazards as well as the overall systems engineering and integrity analysis.  I am a coauthor of the Loran technical evaluation completed in 2004.  The report was provided to the DOT for use in their decision on the mix of federally provided radionavigation systems.  The project has a operating budget of $500K/year.

Other responsibility include heading the Software Defined Radio research at the Stanford GPS laboratory
