Shelley White MA, ICD.D
Experienced CEO with a strong background in non-profit leadership.
Shelley White holds a Master’s degree (MA) and is a certified ICD.D (Institute of Corporate Directors) professional. She has been the CEO of the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) since February 2017. The RGC is an independent non-profit organization focused on preventing problem gambling by creating awareness and delivering innovative programs to reduce gambling risks. Under her leadership, the organization has emphasized collaboration among stakeholders, including individuals with gambling problems, gaming providers, and policymakers.1
Before her role at RGC, Shelley served as the President and CEO of United Way Peel Region from 2003 to 2017, where she played a key role in revitalizing the organization and spearheaded initiatives that supported community integration for newcomers to Canada. She also has experience as the Executive Director of the Kidney Foundation of Canada and has held various managerial positions at the YMCA.1
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Brock University and a Master's in Leadership Studies from the University of Guelph, as well as executive education from Harvard Business School in Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management.1
