Shelley Cohen

Shelley Cohen is an experienced Chief Executive Officer, Entrepreneur, and Renewable Energy Project Developer specializing in solar PV, energy storage, and microgrids.

She excels in delivering innovative residential and commercial solar projects, focusing on reducing harmful emissions to combat climate change.

With a background in nonprofit organizations and boards such as NWF, ICL, MDV-SEIA, and SWAN, Shelley is passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility, Solar, Biofuels, Environmental Awareness, and Fundraising.

A trained Climate Leader with the Climate Reality Project and a mentor, Shelley is committed to making a positive impact on the environment.

She holds degrees from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and Tufts University, with a focus on Political Science and Energy and Environment.

Shelley has held various roles including Director at Ameresco, Mentor at Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator, and Advisor at Christensen Global.

She has previously worked as CEO and Co-Founder at Alpha Solar Group, Director of Solar Programs at District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility, and Senior Project Developer at Ameresco.

Shelley's experience spans across different sectors, from the US Environmental Protection Agency to The White House, where she served in roles such as Team Lead at the Landfill Methane Outreach Program and Coordinator for the President's Council on Sustainable Development, Education Task Force.

Apart from her professional pursuits, Shelley is a dedicated mother of two daughters, a Brownie Troop Leader, and a strong advocate for girls and women empowerment.
