Sheldon Kimber

Sheldon Kimber is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in energy finance, development, and entrepreneurship.

Currently, he serves as the CEO and Founder of Intersect Power, a prominent developer of utility-scale renewables.

In his previous role as the COO of Recurrent Energy, Sheldon Kimber played a pivotal role in leading the company's global development, origination, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations activities.

During his tenure at Recurrent Energy, which spanned over seven years, he successfully oversaw the company's expansion from a small-scale, rooftop developer to a major player in the utility-scale renewable energy sector, with nearly 2GW of projects in operation.

Sheldon Kimber's responsibilities included managing key development, origination, M&A, and procurement transactions at Recurrent Energy, contributing significantly to the company's growth and success.

Sheldon Kimber's professional journey also includes a stint at Calpine, where he focused on finance and development of gas-fired power projects, as well as roles at Goldman Sachs as a Summer Associate and Accenture as a Strategy Consultant.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from Kenyon College and an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business.

Sheldon Kimber's expertise extends to teaching Project Finance in the full-time MBA program at UC Berkeley, where he also serves on the Dean's Advisory Committee.
