Shelby Kimmel is an accomplished academic, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Middlebury College.
With a background in Quantum Information and Astrophysics, Shelby has a strong educational foundation, having pursued a Ph.D. Candidate program in Quantum Information at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earning a BA in Astrophysics from Williams College.
Having held various roles in academia and research, Shelby has experience as a Visiting Assistant Professor and a QUICS Postdoctoral Fellow at Middlebury College and the University of Maryland respectively.
Prior to her current position, she gained valuable experience working as a Graduate Intern at BBN Technologies and a Summer Intern at the University of Waterloo.
Furthermore, Shelby's diverse experiences also include a role as an English Teacher as part of the Fulbright Korea program, showcasing her versatility and passion for education.
