Dr. Shawne Duperon

Shawne Tool is a renowned communication and media expert with a strong focus on forgiveness and leadership conversations in the workplace. She holds a PhD in Communication and Media Studies from Wayne State University, where she specialized in Good Gossip. She also studied Journalism and TV Broadcast Communications at Eastern Michigan University.

Shawne is the CEO of CSP Communication Speaker & Trainer, where she uses her experience and knowledge to help organizations mitigate risks, create realistic boundaries, and bounce-back from inevitable failures. She is a progressive and disruptive leader who has trained and consulted with tens of thousands of participants, reaching millions through her movement called Project Forgive. Her unique approach to communication consulting and training engages and retains employees, teams, vendors, and clients. She has won six EMMY® awards, national media coverage, and a 2016 Nobel Peace Prize nomination for her popular educational tool called “The Apology (You’ll Never Receive).”

Prior to starting her own agency, Shawne founded The Project Forgive Foundation and Project Forgive. She also worked as a television reporter for PBS World Business Review and as a television producer for WDIV-TV, NBC. She started her career in television as a reporter for WNWO-TV and as an assignment editor for WTVG-TV, ABC.
