Currently, Shawn is a Software Engineer at Ascend.io, an early-stage big data start-up, focusing on product engineering.

Prior to his current role, Shawn worked at Samsung Electronics America on Smart TV Ads Platform team.

Shawn holds a Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University, showcasing his dedication to enhancing user experiences.

His career highlights include roles at Barter, CMU Robotics Lab, CMU HCI Capstone, and MIT Media Lab - Tangible Media Group, where he took on mixed development and design responsibilities.

Shawn's expertise lies in the React+X stack, along with proficiency in Angular, Node, and other front-end technologies.

He is enthusiastic about exploring innovative front-end tools to create exceptional user interfaces.

Shawn's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from The University of Hong Kong and experience as an exchange student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He also studied Economics, Management, and Information System Management at Tsinghua University during his preparation year.
