Serving north and central Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico, the Women's Business Council - Southwest (WBCS) is headquartered in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, with a satellite office in Austin, Texas. If a women-owned business is headquartered within this four-state region, WBCS is responsible for facilitating their certification. The Women's Business Council - Southwest (WBCS) is one of fourteen Regional Partner Organizations affiliated with Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC sets the standards and criteria for certification and WBCS facilitates the certification process for our region. Other opportunities through our council include local support for women-owned business growth through procurement events, educational programs, mentoring, business development events, networking, virtual market fairs, and a host of other programs, trainings, and outreach activities.As Vice President and second in command, I supervise key members of the senior management team and in partnership with the President, I drive overall strategy on local, regional, and national basis as well as oversee a broad range of public relations activities relative to strategic direction and positioning of the organization and its leadership. I am a top Ambassador who advances my organization's position with relevant constituents while driving broader awareness and donor support.

Paul Quinn College, one of the most innovative Historically Black Colleges (HBCU) in America, is a private, faith-based, four-year, liberal arts-inspired college that was founded on April 4, 1872 by a group of African Methodist Episcopal Church preachers in Austin, Texas. The school’s original purpose was to educate freed slaves and their offspring.  Today, Paul Quinn has become a model for urban higher education by focusing on academic rigor, experiential learning, and entrepreneurship. The College proudly educates students of all races and socio-economic classes under the banner of its institutional ethos, WE over Me. Its mission is to provide a quality, faith-based education that addresses the academic, social, and Christian development of its students. Beginning in the Fall of 2015, Paul Quinn College adopted a new student financial structure called the “New Urban College Model” which, among other characteristics, reduced student tuition and fees and provides students with the ability to graduate with less than $10,000 of student loan debt. The centerpiece of the New Urban College Model is Paul Quinn’s decision to become the country’s only urban Work College. There are currently eight work colleges in the nation. Paul Quinn is the ninth federally funded work college in the United States, the first Minority Serving Institution (“MSI”) in the Work College Consortium, and the first work college in Texas.  I am honored to lecture on and facilitate the following courses: Introduction to Fundraising and Philanthropy; Donor and Alumni Relations; Grant Proposal Writing; Prospect Research and Major Gifts courses.

Texas Women’s Foundation (Formally Dallas Women's Foundation) is a community-supported foundation that invests in the power of women and girls to drive positive change. Through research, advocacy, programs and grantmaking, the foundation advances economic and leadership opportunities for women, girls and families to build stronger, more equitable communities for all.As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I was responsible for providing strategic direction, planning and implementation for closing out a 5-year $50 million dollar comprehensive capital campaign which included managing a 5-member Development team to ensure adequate funding was raised for the campaign, programs, special initiatives and general operating support. Areas of responsibility included: major gifts, annual giving, Donor Advised Funds, special events, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, direct mail and special appeals.My accomplishments included:•	Successfully closed 5-year, $50 million Unlocking Leadership Comprehensive Campaign •	Supervision over most successful Annual Luncheon in Foundation’s history •	Full-launch of Economic Leadership Council – developed in 2016 with full-on launch in 2017 •	Created and launched Leadership Key Club – $100k+ donors; 61 inaugural members•	Creation and launch of Women’s Leadership Institute •	Creation and launch of two new Giving Circles

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, I was honored with fostering a culture of philanthropy and creating a donor-centered organization that nurtured loyalty through a comprehensive relationship-building program that included communications, volunteering, social media, and special events.My accomplishments included:•	Managed the day-to-day efforts for one of the largest social service organizations in N. Texas - casting the vision and executing the plan for development, fundraising, donor relations/stewardship, marketing, and communications. •	Led a 10-person Development team comprised of a Director of Development, Donor Relations Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, Grants Coordinator, Outcomes Manager, Development Coordinator, Communications Manager, Graphic Artist, and an AmeriCorps member.•	Doubled annual operating budget (2010 – 2016); from $9.8mm to $20mm; More than $75mm raised during my tenure, including a successful capital campaign. •	Successfully led and closed out organization’s capital campaign for the development of new campus, “The Opportunity Center” ($16mm campaign). •	Supervised internal and external communication through design and delivery of social media (website, Facebook, YouTube), newsletters, annual report, and program brochures.

With more than 38 years of experience, Rainbow Days has expanded services to include: life-enrichment experiences; family outings; mentored events; and an array of alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) prevention programs. To date, Rainbow Days has served more than 229,000 children in the Dallas community. In addition, more than 55,000 professionals across Dallas, the state of Texas, the nation and beyond have been trained to implement Rainbow Days’ nationally recognized Curriculum-Based Support Groups® or other accredited prevention programs with children in their own communities through Rainbow Days Training.

Through programming that reflects the spirit and diversity of our region, we provide an invaluable alternative to commercial media.The mission of North Texas Public Broadcasting is to serve North Texans through public television, radio and multimedia resources that educate, engage, inspire, inform and entertain.KERA serves the fourth-largest population area in the country. Each week, more than 2.6 million people connect with KERA through our television and radio broadcast channels, websites, social media and mobile apps.As Manager of Volunteer Services, I was responsible for every aspect of the Volunteer Services Department and Program (3 full-time staff members and over 4,000 volunteers), which included staffing and managing volunteers for all television and radio pledge drives, fundraising events member benefit events as well as community-wide events and programs.
