Shawn Thompson

Shawn Thompson is a seasoned leader with over a decade of experience in building SaaS software, establishing customer-facing services and operations teams, and meeting multi-million dollar revenue targets. His clients include major studios and broadcasters, well-known retailers and catalogers, entrepreneurial startups, utilities, and international telecommunications companies and governments. He has delivered projects in Europe, Asia, and South America while living and working in those local markets, giving him significant international experience. Thompson is known for his ability to solve big, hard problems in mission-driven markets and for turning chaos into organized chaos. He enjoys working in the startup environment and has worked with seven startups throughout his career.

Thompson studied MBA, Corporate Finance, and Entrepreneurship at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business and BS, Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. He is currently the Product Lead of TotalWine.com at Total Wine & More, having previously held leadership positions at Logi Analytics, MicroStrategy, WeddingWire, Aquicore, Opower, Google, and more. Thompson's diverse background in product management, client engineering, partner solutions, and global leadership, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit, has earned him the reputation of being an "exceptional operational manager, truth speaker, and rock-solid communicator" and an "innovator at heart who produces high-quality problems that are worth solving." In addition to technology, Thompson enjoys home remodeling and advising nonprofits.
