Shawn Thomas is a highly experienced deputy with 24 years of service at the King County Sheriff's Office in Seattle, WA.

Currently serving as a Wellness and Resiliency Detective/Therapy K9 handler, Shawn also leads the peer support team within the Sheriff's Office.

She is widely recognized as the founder and national director of 1st Responder Conferences, dedicated to organizing mental health and wellness events for first responders and their families across the United States.

Through her initiatives, Shawn aims to enhance the quality of life for those individuals committed to protecting and serving others.

Shawn's educational background includes studies at Decatur High School, Green River Community College, and Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center, where she obtained an Associate of Arts degree.

Passionate about promoting first responder wellness, Shawn has held various roles such as First Responder Wellness Advocate at 1st Responder Conferences, Wellness and Resiliency Detective at King County Sheriff's Office, and TSI Instructor at the Transit Safety Institute.

Her previous positions include Sheriff Deputy, Deputy, Volunteer at Code 4 NW, Volunteer at Safe Call Now, and Ramp Lead at Alaska Airlines.
