Shawn Syed is a highly educated individual with a strong background in law, holding a Juris Doctor degree in Criminal Law and Procedure from William & Mary Law School. He also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Honors Philosophy and concentrations in Law and Ethics, as well as minors in Business and Political Science at The College of New Jersey. Prior to his higher education, Shawn completed his High School Diploma in Law and Justice at Bergen County Technical High School.
Shawn Syed has gained valuable professional experience through various roles in prestigious organizations. Presently, he serves as the Assistant City Attorney in the Prosecution Section at the City of Dallas. His previous experiences include internships at significant legal entities such as the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, Federal Public Defender in the Northern District of Texas, and as a Judicial Intern to Chief Judge Barbara M. G. Lynn at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In addition to his legal internships, Shawn Syed has a diverse range of professional experiences. He has worked as a White House Intern at The White House, interned at the United States Senate Office of Cory Booker, interned at the Superior Court of New Jersey, and served as a Project Manager at New Jersey Real Estate Investment & Properties. Furthermore, Shawn's background includes roles such as a Summer Attorney at the Federal Public Defender's office, a judicial intern at the Superior Court of New Jersey, an intern at Kaufman, Semeraro, & Leibman, LLP, a canvasser for the campaign of Bonnie Watson-Coleman in the NJ 12th District, and an intern at the United States Senate Office of Robert Menendez. Prior to these positions, he utilized his skills as a Coach at Complete Quarterback.
