Shawn Kim

Shawn Kim is an accomplished professional with a strong focus on Private Equity and Venture Capital investment in Korea, with experience in restructuring, workout, M&A, buyouts, NPLs, and startups.

He has recently expanded his investment interests to Vietnamese startups and is eyeing the SEA market for future opportunities.

Shawn has been involved in various funds such as Shipbuild & Marine Restructuring Fund (backed by KVIC), NPS PEF (National Pension Service backed Private Equity Fund), KVIC KVF (Korea Venture Investment Corporation backed Venture Fund), Corporate Restructuring Fund (Korea Growth Investment Corporation backed Fund), and Agri & Food Investment Fund.

His educational background includes a BA in Avionics and Electronics from Korea Aerospace University, an MS in Economics from Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies, and an MS in EMBA from Aalto-yliopisto.

Shawn Kim currently serves as the Principal at NAU IB Capital and has held positions as a Board Member at SGA embedded, Nonexecutive Director at JYP Entertainment, Nonexecutive Director at Comas, and has a Professional License for PE/VC investment from Korea Venture Investment Corporation. He also has experience in Molecular Imaging from Siemens.
