Shawn (Butters) Butterfield

Shawn Butterfield is an experienced Distinguished Architect at Salesforce with over twelve years in the industry. With a passion for technology and a talent for software development using Java and any RDBMS, Butterfield is an innovative and groundbreaking thinker who is always on information overload. His specialties include networking, firewalls, VOIP, and anything IT, including working with Cisco products, Advanced IP Routing/Networking, and Linux OS, namely Cent, Fedora, RedHat, Slackware, DSL, Integrated Linux (firmware), and BSD/FreeBSD. Butterfield has studied Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science at Washington State University, BSIT Software Engineering at University of Phoenix, and ASCS Computer Sciences at North Idaho College. Prior to his role as Distinguished Architect at Salesforce, Butterfield held positions such as Principal Engineer, Technical Product Manager, Technical Architect, Manager of Technology Services Delivery, and CSO/VP of IT, among others, at Jigsaw and Connectex Direct. Butterfield is a loyal and diligent worker who loves to be disruptive and is always looking to learn and do more, calling it like it is and avoiding politics.
