Architected, developed and deployed a highly scaleable and fully cloud native CI/CD pipeline in Kubernetes. The Kubernetes cluster utilized over 50 nodes with 5 control-planes and would perform over 600 builds per day as well as enabled the creation of over 300 cloud native environments each representing a fully deployed and uniquely accessible micro-service based application.

Designed an edge-based Kubernetes solution using Rancher's K3S that enabled seamless deployment of the aforementioned cloud native applications from the cloud onto the edge.

My main role at Electronic Arts is the design, development and implementation of a solution called Managed On-Demand Infrastructure (MODI).

The base infrastructure utilized VMware vSphere as the virtualization platform and VMware vCloud Automation Center / VMware vRealize Automation as the cloud management platform.  Furthermore, EA also heavily employs public cloud solutions like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

As the primary software engineer on the project working with a team scattered throughout the globe, my job was to compose a complete custom enterprise software package that could integrate all of the various cloud technologies implemented by the infrastructure team into what we called a "Single Pane of Glass" solution.

Our clients required that our integration of these technologies and the resulting application act responsively and constantly be providing feedback to the end user.  Thus, we built the core of our integration application inside of Microsoft Azure using Azure App Services and Microsoft SQL Azure.  To provide even more responsiveness we front-ended our data using the Microsoft Azure Redis Cache that was replicated across 7+ different regions for failover protection as well as performance needs.

By the end of v1 and in the development of v2 of MODI my team heavily applied these technologies/platforms/libraries in the MODI software solution:

Became an expert in all things Cisco developer-related.  This includes, but is not limited to Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) Administrative Xml API (AXL), Cisco Agent Desktop customizations, Cisco Realtime Information Services API, Cisco Telephony Xml API, etc.

Designed, architected and deployed the Coleman Technologies ‘Alfred’ Paging System which was a productized and sold.  The ‘Alfred Paging System’  APS used Windows Communication Foundation as a way to communicate with the Cisco IP Phones as well as C# middleware for handling multiple RTP audio streams from either a unicast or multicast perspective.  The frontend UI was created in Silverlight 3.0.

Deployed and moved a majority of team members to Microsoft Team Foundation Server.

Influenced interested among my colleagues for production use of technologies such as Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and Silverlight.
Helped originate the design of the Coleman Incident Response System which used a variety of technologies for recognizing gunshots and then pinpointing the location of the gunshot using video and Google Maps.

Developed an maintained a web application that allowed customers of an energy provider in White House, Tennessee to pay their bills online as well as view their usage data.

Designed and implemented many Cisco Contact Center customizations to integrate with Cisco Agent Desktop as well as direct integration with the Cisco Interactive Voice Response System via Windows Communication Foundation.

Developed custom Windows Communication Foundation extensions for interacting with Cisco IP Phones and other Cisco XML services.

One application - Spotr - utilizes the multitouch capabilities of Silverlight so that Contact Center Managers can easily see real-time data regarding their Contact Centers.

Coleman Technologies, a Presidio Company

Performed analysis and design for the United States Department of Defense’s One Tactical Engagement Simulation System (OneTESS) logistics and weapons tracking application.  Implementation consisted of an Microsoft .NET 2.0 <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> web application written in C# with a Microsoft Sql Server 2005 database.  Training weapons were tracked via Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) modules.

Managed, designed, and architected the Portal Dynamics’ student health information portal called Health-eU as the lead developer and architect on the project.  The project was a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> web application with a Microsoft Sql Server 2005 backend.  Implemented design using <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> 2.0 MasterPages, inheritance of the .NET Framework 2.0 Membership API, and data orchestration using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006.  BizTalk Server 2006 was used to bring flat data received from college institutions and have it cleanly and securely imported into Health-eU’s highly relational database.

Implemented corporate wide policy usage of the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) using Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (VSTS).  Team Foundation Server allowed the multiple remotely-located offices and their developers of Portal Dynamics to collaborate underneath a single source control umbrella while also making significant use of the various work items, reporting mechanisms, and build solutions offered by Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server.

Architected, designed and implemented a common Membership System for all department web applications using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> 2.0, and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0.  By creating this service oriented application using WCF, changes are easily and quickly made to the whole Membership System without affecting client’s continued usage of the interface.

Created a Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) frontend for the Membership System that communicated to the WCF services via the binary transport.  Used the agile development structure of WPF to create highly interactive and 3D graphics for user-friendly enhancements.

Maintained the WPF application through Microsoft One-Click deployment technologies and a Xaml Brower Application (XBAP) hosted environment.

Maintained the CuraScript REIsource 2.0 system for Valera Pharmaceuticals and other clients via Microsoft <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> 1.1 and Sql Server 2000.

Designed and implemented a Virtual Truck Fleet Management System that could be used by upper-management to monitor, maintain, and track a fleet of 350+ trucks using Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies, Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, Xplore Technology Tablet PCs, Webtech Wireless Locators, Microsoft MapPoint COM SDK, Microsoft MapPoint Web Services, and many other bleeding edge technologies detailed below.

Developed a .NET WinForms Smart Client Application in C# for use with Tablet PCs.  The application was used by Service Technicians for tracking work orders, receiving service call information, querying work order and service call history all via ink-driven and pen-based Tablet PC technology.

Allowed the Tablet PC to communicate via sockets to its respective GPS locator installed into the truck so that the exact location of the Service Truck could be sent to the offices (Longitude, Latitude, Altitude, Speed, Date, and Time).
Integrated every aspect of the Microsoft Enterprise Library in order to speed up the delivery process and completion of the product.  This included Exception Management, Database Management, Logging Management, and Configuration Management.

Implemented .NET Reflection technologies so that all methods and functions on the Tablet PC could be called remotely from the home office.  This allowed for management to forcibly have the Tablet PC send data back to the office.
Applied self-updating technology to each of the Tablet PCs so that they could be updated while they were on the field.  This updating system allowed for us to track which versions of every single .NET assembly that each Tablet PC was currently operating with.

Engineered a system of Windows Services and Web Services that handled the automated location reports from each Service Truck in the field.

Put on the front lines of a fast growing company that handles the medical services for the Federal Bureau of Prisons by recruiting medical providers and managing the medical care process for inmates.

Architected, designed and implemented development on a digital nervous system for the company that would allow all company operations to be streamlined into one application that each department from claims to client services would eventually use to drastically improve business process performance.

Traveled to various federal penitentiaries in order to provide them with startup information when they signed a new contract with our company.

Presented clients at the Federal Bureau of Prisons the company’s business process and how we would work with them to implement all medical services within their government organization.

Created dozens of common .NET assemblies in C# for reuse across the enterprise.  Assemblies were also exposed through web services in order to provide a service oriented architecture throughout the company as well.
Implemented a reusable API and interface for Authentication and Authorization as a single-sign-on application for over 10 existing applications.
Designed a common and reusable process to convert existing Classic ASP application to .NET in an extremely efficient manner.

Citigroup

Initiated a company-wide interest in <a href="http://Microsoft.NET">Microsoft.NET</a> Technologies and how they could benefit in cross-platform development, web application development, and integrated solution development.  DTR’s current Progress RDBMS did not allow for much integration with other development platforms and other database architectures.  Using the Progress Server Socket, MSXML 4.0, and Progress 4GL, I was successfully able to transmit XSD-validated XML streams to an <a href="http://ASP.NET">ASP.NET</a> web application that would deserialize the XML streams into C# classes using the .NET XmlSerializer namespace.  Therefore, DTR was no longer limited to strict communication and integration with the Progress 4GL and Progress RDBMS and could begin to expand its customer base while developing new technologies.

Developed a <a href="http://WinForms.NET">WinForms.NET</a> application that allowed for instant and secure communication and messaging over a Local Area Network (LAN).  The messaging application looked and acted similar to Microsoft MSN Messenger in that it had capabilities for sending alerts across the company or to a group of users.  The application used .NET Remoting technology and IIS 5.0 for communication.  The messages were encrypted using the .NET Cryptographic namespace.

Implemented a Windows Script using Windows Script Host that enabled IT Management to control internet access to certain employees during specific work hours.  I also developed custom .NET Winforms IT tools for IT Management so they could search LAN computers for certain running processes and Windows Services that they needed to terminate.

DTR Software

Designed Microsoft Classic ASP applications that used customized security features and ASP Components.  Loyalty Realtime had a large client base and each client required a management web application and customer web application in order for managers and customers to view realtime data about their services.  All of these web applications were to be created and maintained using core business logic.  I implemented a Classic ASP security for each page and also displayed tabular, graphical, and realtime reports using Classic ASP.

Developed Transact-SQL Stored Procedures and called them from the ASP web applications.  These stored procedures were created for pulling global data from the database for management/client web applications.
Acquired knowledge of TAPI development through VB 6.0 and developed side projects to learn of the TAPI component.
