Sharon Knight is a distinguished senior operations executive with extensive experience leading diverse functions and multi-national teams at both Fortune 500 companies and smaller, privately held and venture capital backed firms. She has built an impressive career having held various executive titles at KFC, Gap Inc., and Electronic Arts, where she led a global development organization that established new standards and practices for shared services and improved product quality and consistency while reducing R&D spending.
She also served as Chief Operating Officer at The Plant Cafe Organic, President of One Medical Group, and the founding LP at How Women Invest. In 2012, she launched Avik Ventures, an investment vehicle for early stage investments principally in healthcare services and health IT companies, of which she is an investor.
Sharon is a graduate of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management with an MBA in Finance and Organizational Behavior and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College. She has lent her expertise to various organizations such as UCSF Health Hub, Leo Health, and Vital Score, as well as serving on the board of Stop the Spread since August 2020, a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the evolving critical needs of the pandemic.
Currently, she works as an advisor, board member, investor, and consultant for healthcare services companies that are leveraging technology to increase access and improve quality of care and patient experience.
