Sharla Berry is an accomplished Assistant Professor with a keen focus on teaching and learning with technology. With a Ph.D. in Urban Education Policy from the University of Southern California, she is a highly regarded researcher and public speaker whose expertise extends to K-20 education. Sharla is also a dessert enthusiast and dedicated yogi, reflecting her commitment to health and wellness.
Sharla began her career as a Staff Writer for The Los Angeles Loyolan before moving on to a range of exciting roles in education. She co-founded College Knowledge LA and served as the Executive Director, where she worked to help underserved students access higher education. She was also a Founding Teacher at Westside Innovative School House (WISH) Charter School and a Teacher at Century Academy for Excellence. As a former Assistant Professor of Educational Innovation at the University of the Pacific - Gladys L. Benerd School of Education, Sharla has developed a reputation for her innovative and effective teaching style.
Sharla's expertise extends to research, and she has worked as a Scholarship Consultant at Mount Saint Mary's University and a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California. She has also worked as a Program Assistant- Student Housing at Loyola Marymount University and as a Special Projects Coordinator.
