Shannon McCord

Shannon McCord is the Public Involvement Director for HNTB’s North Texas offices, with over two decades of experience in public involvement, communications, and marketing. She currently oversees a team dedicated to creating and executing communication strategies to enhance public engagement for clients. Her project involvement ranges from small-scale initiatives to large, complex projects across various phases of transportation endeavors, with a focus on DOT and toll agency projects in the region. Shannon has a robust educational background, having studied Journalism and Advertising at Oklahoma State University, and earning an MBA in Marketing as well as an MLA in Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University. Her professional journey includes leadership roles such as Dallas Practice Leader and AVP at HNTB, along with prior positions as Public Involvement/Communications Director and Manager at HNTB, Marketing Manager at Cox Communications, and PR professional at Express Personnel Services.
