Shannon Mattern

Shannon Mattern is an experienced entrepreneur, educator, and speaker based in Ohio. With a B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University, Mattern has held various positions in the nursing industry, including Deputy Executive Officer of Communications & Professional Services Innovation and Director of Communications at Ohio Nurses Association. She also served as Marketing Systems Administrator at Schottenstein Zox & Dunn Co., LPA. After side hustling for three years, Mattern said goodbye to her day job to focus on teaching fellow entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and creatives how to build their websites, turn their expertise into income, and grow an online audience. Her Free 5 Day Website Challenge has taught over 5,000 individuals how to build a website. Mattern loves writing, podcasts, and personal development. She speaks at conferences about digital marketing, online business, getting found online, and how to grow a side hustle while working full time. She is working on a book chronicling her experience in building her business while maintaining a balance between work and life. When not working or teaching, Mattern enjoys camping all over her home state, with Wayne National Forest being a favorite weekend getaway thanks to its 70 miles of ATV trails that wind through the area's rolling hills.
