Shannon Galpin is an accomplished activist, artist, author, and speaker. With over a decade of experience in Afghanistan, Shannon has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Afghan women and raise awareness of gender inequality. She is best known for her work with the Afghan Women's National Cycling Team, which she co-founded, and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015. Shannon is the co-creator of Endangered Activism, a youth-powered initiative focused on wildlife conservation and creative solutions. She is also an author of two books, an artist, and currently working on her third book and gallery installation. Shannon has been featured on prominent media outlets such as the New York Times, CNN, and BBC World, and has spoken at various events, including TEDx and the Explorer's Club.
