Shannon Brooks has a solid background starting as a Material Engineer at Honeywell and Osmonics before transitioning into sales at Cambridge Scientific Abstract. Following a stint at American Express in the Global Merchant Services division managing key accounts like Southwest Airlines, JetBlue, and more, Shannon ventured into the cannabis industry by co-founding Lightshade with her husband and business partners in August 2011.
Joining Lightshade in February 2015, Shannon assumed responsibility for all marketing and branding initiatives. She spearheaded the implementation of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the fall of 2016, underlining Lightshade's dedication to superior products, service, education, and community engagement.
Shannon's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Materials Science and Engineering from UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. Currently, she holds the position of VP, Marketing, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Lightshade, showcasing her skills in strategic leadership and brand development.
