Shani Jamila

Shani Jamila is a multi-talented voice actor, conceptual artist, and the creative force behind the Lineage podcast, where she conducts profound interviews with contemporary socially engaged Black artists.

Her educational background includes a BA in English & French from Spelman College, an MA in Africana Cultural Studies from UCLA, and a Fulbright Fellowship at the University of the West Indies.

Shani has been involved with various prestigious organizations in the past, including serving as Founder and Host at Lineage, being a mentor at the New Museum of Contemporary Art, an Artist Fellow at The National Arts Club, an Aspen Institute Scholar, an Artist In Residence at MASS MoCA and Ace Hotel / Atelier Ace, as well as a Resident at TED Conferences.
