Shane Sobotka

Shane Sobotka is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in environmental studies, renewable energy, project management, and business development.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a focus on Resource Management and Technology from the University of Washington.

In addition, Shane has acquired a Solar Business and Technical Sales Certificate from Solar Energy International (SEI).

Shane has held various key positions in different organizations, showcasing his expertise and versatility.

Currently, he serves as the Development Director - Renewables at McKinstry, where he contributes to the growth and implementation of renewable energy solutions.

Previously, Shane utilized his skills as a Contract Curriculum Developer at Solar Energy International (SEI) and as the Owner of Allied Resources Collective.

His experience also includes being the Generation and Storage Project Director at Bluestem Energy Solutions and the C-PACE Coordinator, AmeriCorps VISTA at Solar Energy International (SEI).

Shane has extensively worked with OneEnergy Inc in different roles such as Manager of Cooperative and Public Power, Manager of Co-op Utilities in Texas, and Manager of Project Development.

Moreover, he has a history of supporting the community and academia, having been an Intern at the Capital Projects Office of the Planning Services Group at University of Washington and a Board Member of the Program on the Environment Alumni Board at the same university.

Shane's diverse skill set extends to outdoor activities as well, having worked as a Sea Kayak Instructor and Guide at Cascade Canoe and Kayak Centers, Inc.

His project management skills were honed during his time as a Project Manager at Greene Gasaway Architects, rounding up his comprehensive professional background.
