Shanan Powell

Shanan Kumar Powell is a professional with a diverse background in communications, public relations, and project management.

Shanan pursued his education at Saint Andrew's High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Psychology from Tufts University.

During his career, Shanan has held key positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he served as the National Communication Co-Director of LEAAP (Asian Affinity Group) and contributed as an Associate Consultant and Senior Specialist in Internal Communications.

Prior to his roles at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Shanan gained valuable experience in the realms of public relations and event management at fama PR, Inc., TUGG (Technology Underwriting Greater Good), and hack/reduce among others.

His journey also includes internships at organizations like Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and MedicalRecords.com, where he honed his marketing and project coordination skills.

Shanan has also been actively involved in community service as part of the Kitchen Cabinet Steering Committee at The Greater Boston Food Bank.

His diverse skill set encompasses internal and external communications, project coordination, public relations, and community engagement.
