Shamus Li is a dedicated student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. With a passion for learning and a keen interest in the engineering field, Shamus enjoys tackling new challenges and exploring fresh perspectives.
His primary focus lies in Augmented Reality (AR), where he has honed his skills in app development, web development, and computational imaging. Beyond his technical expertise, Shamus also harbors a profound interest in global affairs, aspiring to make a positive impact by contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through innovative solutions.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Shamus indulges in various hobbies such as filmmaking, photography, and music, showcasing his creativity and diverse range of interests.
Throughout his educational journey, Shamus Li has engaged in a variety of programs and initiatives, including studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Semiahmoo Secondary School, attending the High School Summer Session at Stanford University, and participating in the Silicon Valley Innovation Academy at Stanford University.
Within various organizations, Shamus has held significant roles such as being an Undergraduate Researcher at the Laura Waller Computational Imaging Lab, Vice President at the Cinematic Arts and Production Club, Director at North Model United Nations, SHAD Fellow at SHAD Network, Assistant at Kumon North America, Inc., and President at 21st South Surrey Venturers. These experiences have enriched his skill set and allowed him to develop leadership qualities and a holistic perspective on various subjects.
