Shaji Thomas is a distinguished Operations Leader with over 30 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. He has dedicated 25 years to asset roles and in the last 6 years has been utilizing this asset expertise in various Projects.
Since January 2020, Shaji has been playing a pivotal role in providing functional leadership in Asset Owner Readiness for Shell Projects on a global scale. His responsibilities include preparing future assets for optimal performance during start-up and operations, while also driving the conceptualization of the Asset of the Future ideology into new projects.
Shaji's educational background encompasses an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration and Management from ICFAI University, as well as a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electromechanical Engineering from the Institution of Engineers India.
Throughout his professional journey, Shaji has held several key positions in renowned organizations. Currently, he serves as the Principal Technical Expert in Asset Owner Readiness at Shell. Previously, he held positions such as Team Lead OR & CSU in the Middle East and Asia, Principal Engineer, General Manager Logistics, Manager Maintenance, Operations Representative, Offshore Installation Manager, and Assistant Manager at BG Group. Additionally, he has also worked as a Maintenance Engineer at Enron, a Turbine Specialist at Enron, and a JE at ONGC.
