Shadi Farr

Shadi El Farr is a partner at Heidrick & Struggles’ Dubai office, leading the Financial Services Practice in the Middle East and North Africa. With over 17 years of experience, Shadi has conducted more than 250 leadership and board searches and assessments. He is renowned as one of the longest-serving consultants in the financial sector in the Middle East. Shadi's contributions have been instrumental in the leadership acquisition and development of major multinational and regional financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, and private capital and family group domains.

Prior to his role at Heidrick & Struggles, Shadi worked at an international executive search firm focusing on family groups in the GCC. He initiated his career at a management consulting firm, specializing in organization development projects with regional government entities. Shadi holds an MBA from the Lebanese American University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the American University of Beirut. He is also a certified human resources professional and a trained Hogan assessor.

Shadi's expertise spans across various areas including Commercial and Corporate Banking, Private Equity, Asset Management, Insurance, Financial Technology, and Investment, Financial, and Risk executives across industries. His educational background includes a Baccalaureate in Literature from Saint Mary Orthodox College, an MBA in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University, and a BBA in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.
