Sergio Ulloa

Sergio E. Ulloa is a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Ohio University, where he has been working since September 1986.14 He specializes in theoretical condensed matter physics.13 Ulloa holds a Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1984) and a B.Sc. in Physics from the National University of Mexico - UNAM (1979).1

Dr. Ulloa is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, recognized for his contributions to the theory of transport and optical properties of low-dimensional semiconductor systems and complex molecules, as well as his efforts in organizing international physics events, particularly in Latin America.2 He is a member of the Nanoscale & Quantum Phenomena Institute (NQPI) at Ohio University.1

His research focuses on theoretical condensed matter physics, and he has published numerous papers in this field.13 Ulloa's work has been cited over 6,500 times according to Google Scholar.3 Prior to his current position, he completed postdoctoral research at Simon Fraser University.4
