Serge Raharison

Dr. Serge Raharison is a seasoned Medical Doctor with a passion for Public Health, hailing from Madagascar. Graduating from the University of Antananarivo in 1992, he delved into humanitarian work during a food crisis in the southern region.

Throughout his 25-year career, Dr. Raharison has transitioned from a frontline health worker to a key figure in various organizations, showcasing his leadership skills and dedication to improving healthcare systems.

With educational backgrounds in General Practice and a Master's in Public Health from renowned institutions like the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Dr. Raharison brings a wealth of knowledge to the field of global health.

Having held significant positions such as Chief of Party at Management Sciences for Health and Secretary General of the Ministry of Health in Madagascar, Dr. Raharison has honed his expertise in managing health programs and leading teams effectively.

His extensive experience spans across organizations like John Snow, Inc. (JSI), FHI 360, Chemonics International, and CARE, where he has contributed to projects focusing on child health, nutrition, emergency relief, and more.

Passionate about community well-being, Dr. Raharison has dedicated his career to serving the people of Madagascar and collaborating with international partners to address public health challenges globally.
