Sepanda Pouryahya PhD

Sepanda Pouryahya is a highly educated mathematician and applied researcher with a passion for non-linear interactions and data-driven problem solving. Pouryahya has an impressive academic background, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Mathematical Physics with Double First Class Honours from NUI Maynooth, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

As a professional, Pouryahya has worked in various roles such as Chief Scientist, Head of Data Science, Chief Data Science Officer, and Data Scientist at companies like Datatonic and Fospha Marketing where Pouryahya has honed skills in data analysis, mathematical modeling, and scientific research. Pouryahya was also the Director of Science at Rye Institute and has previously worked as a Lecturer/Researcher at NUI Maynooth.

Pouryahya's professional interests span across various industries, including technology and finance, with a focus on finding the structure in the data and hypothesizing the rules governing the system under study. Additionally, as a volunteer director of the department of sciences, Pouryahya learned that resilience and finding the right team are key components to success in any endeavor.

Outside of work, Pouryahya enjoys designing, traveling, and volunteering at dog shelters. With a passion for learning and innovation, Pouryahya is an asset to any team.
