Senthil Arumugam is an enthusiastic microscopist, cell biologist, and biophysicist with a keen interest in mechanisms in living organisms.
He is well-versed in microscopy, biochemistry, live cell imaging, reconstitution, and lipid biophysics, advocating for interdisciplinary approaches and embracing cutting-edge technology.
Senthil pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biophysics at the prestigious Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics and also holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
His academic journey includes studies at Kendriya Vidyalaya, UNSW Australia, Sardar Patel University, and multiple research roles at renowned institutions.
Currently, he serves as a Senior Research Fellow and EMBL Australia Group Leader at Monash University, having previously held leadership positions at UNSW and conducted research at establishments like the Marie Curie Research Institute and the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry.
