Sebastian Hayes

Sebastian Hayes is a cellular and molecular biologist with a focus on mass spectrometry-based proteomics, specializing in cell signaling and protein flux. He is passionate about leveraging technological advancements in biology for drug discovery research.

Sebastian's academic background includes a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology under the Wellcome Trust 4-year PhD studentship program at the University of Liverpool. He also holds a Master's in Research in Cellular and Molecular Physiology with Distinction from the University of Liverpool, and a BSc in Biochemistry with Medical Biochemistry with Honors from Bristol University. Sebastian's educational journey started with the International Baccalaureate at the United World College of the Atlantic, where he achieved 40 points.

In terms of professional experience, Sebastian Hayes currently serves as the Associate Director at Agios Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this role, he held positions as a Senior Scientist and Scientist at Agios Pharmaceuticals. He also worked as a Scientist I at Biogen Idec, an AP Biology Tutor at Harvard University Hinton Scholars Program, and a Post-doctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School. Additionally, Sebastian has been an Academic collaborator at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.

Sebastian Hayes has been recognized for his academic achievements, having been a Wellcome Trust PhD Fellowship Awardee at the University of Liverpool.
