Sean Yap

Sean Yap is currently at a defense solutions and components selling firm, contributing significantly to research and development efforts for a secure future. With a proven track record in solution sales across niche industries, Sean also ventured into entrepreneurship. Although his initial business venture did not succeed, he gained valuable insights and continued to explore lateral career moves, showcasing his adaptability. Sean is proficient in software technologies like Python, Flask, nginx, and HTML, as well as hardware technologies including sensors, embedded systems, video networking, and electromechanical systems. In his free time, he enjoys expanding his knowledge of new technologies and indulging in music. Sean holds an Engineer's Degree in Engineering Science from the National University of Singapore and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Linköping University, along with having a background from St Joseph's Institution. His professional journey includes roles as a Sales Engineer at Oriens Pte Ltd, Co-Founder at FutureRemedy Labs Pte Ltd, Project Manager at AfterYou Pte. Ltd., and a Research Intern at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE). Prior to these roles, he served as a Search and Rescue (SAR) Combat Medic in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
