Sean Williams

Sean Williams is the Vice President of Innovation - Technology Partnerships at the National Hockey League (NHL), a position he has held since April 2022.1 He is responsible for overseeing collaborations to identify, evaluate, plan, and implement new technology solutions and activations for the NHL's technology partners, including Apple, AWS, Extreme Networks, Rogers, SAP, and Verizon.1

Prior to joining the NHL, Williams worked at Verizon, where he held positions such as Senior Manager of Technology & Experiential and Manager of Technology & Experiential.1 His experience at Verizon included leading experiential marketing initiatives focused on 5G technology and managing major national sports and entertainment partnerships.1

Williams also has experience working at JetBlue Airways, where he managed sponsorship activations and social media marketing initiatives.1 His career history includes roles at Town Sports International and Specialty Sports Venture.1

In his current role at the NHL, Williams is involved in leveraging cloud technology and innovative solutions to enhance fan engagement and create new experiences for NHL audiences.3 He is part of the league's efforts to explore cloud-based production, new analytics, alternate broadcasts, and new programming concepts.23
