Sean Whalen

Sean Whalen is the Managing Director and Head of Broker Dealer Channel at State Street Global Advisors, based in the Greater Chicago Area.1 He has been in this role since April 2024. Prior to his current position, Sean held various roles within State Street Global Advisors, including:

• Vice President, West Coast Divisional Director, Private Wealth Channel (October 2018 - April 2024)
• Vice President, Regional Consultant Midwest (June 2016 - April 2024)

Before joining State Street, Sean worked at several other financial institutions:

• Regional Director at Cedar Capital (June 2013 - May 2016)
• Investment Consultant at Calamos Investments (January 2011 - May 2013)

Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from Marquette University, which he attended from 2003 to 2007.1
