Sean Murphy
Professor of Saxophone at Richland College
Sean Murphy is a saxophonist, educator, and entrepreneur with a diverse background in music performance and education. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Arts Management and Entrepreneurship at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music in Cleveland, Ohio.12 Previously, he held the position of Instructor of Saxophone at Richland College in Dallas, Texas.34
Murphy holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) and a Master of Music (M.M.) from the University of North Texas, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) from Slippery Rock University.2 As a performer, he is a Selmer Paris artist and has been described as "truly beautiful" by Jamie Bernstein.1 He has performed with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida, and has been involved in numerous recording projects with the North Texas Wind Symphony.1
