Jo Ann Barefoot is a highly respected leader in the financial regulatory space, founder and CEO of multiple organizations, and former Deputy Comptroller of the Currency and staff member of the US Senate Banking Committee. Currently, she serves as CEO and Cofounder of AIR, the Alliance for Innovative Regulation, a nonprofit that aims to digitize the financial regulatory system to promote fair finance, encourage innovation in the financial sector, and prevent financial crimes. Jo Ann is also a Senior Fellow Emerita at the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Business and Government, where she hosts the global podcast show Barefoot Innovation, focusing on fintech and regtech. Her expertise is widely recognized in a broad range of areas from financial regulatory reform and policy development to innovation and financial inclusion.
