Sean Culligan

Sean Culligan is the Visual Editor at OZY.com, where he manages the imagery on the site, overseeing tasks such as creating original illustrations, sourcing material from wire services, and hiring freelance artists. Sean's journey at OZY began from the role of a photo-cropper and progressed through positions like contractor, photo editor assistant, before assuming the role of Visual Editor. He collaborates with the product team and is involved in training on the Content Management System.

Beyond his current role, Sean has diverse experiences, including a stint as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan after graduating from the University of San Francisco. He spent a year in rural Hokkaido, teaching English alongside local teachers and running English tutoring sessions. Sean's passion for art and design is evident in his constant creative pursuits, such as carrying a camera everywhere and engaging in late-night endeavors like sketching editorial illustrations, cartoons, and designing shoes.
