As director of online marketing at EarthLink, Sean was charged with all online marketing and customer acquisition on the web. For three years, Sean managed the EarthLink website as well as its teams and agencies. As a result of this leadership, the company had record customer acquisition online. 

In addition, Sean led a company-wide initiative aimed at unifying the online experience for EarthLink customers between the .com site and the customer portal, promoting a better experience and resulting in greater uptake of additional products and upselling and cross-selling to the installed base.

During his time at iXL, the company grew from a small Internet consultancy firm to become one of the largest in the country.
 
Sean was selected for the CEO’s Leadership Award, and also recognized as “iXL Thought Leader” for the development of the Marketing Delivery Methodology globally for the organization. He developed, coordinated and managed marketing teams in delivery of Enterprise Relationship
Management, interactive marketing strategies, audience definition and segmentation, brand
development, product development, tactical planning and execution, media programs and
promotions (clients included Aspire Visa, Compaq, Kodak, 21e, FedEx, BellSouth, Chase).

At Bellsouth (now AT&T South), Sean was elected as charter member of the due diligence team (later formally recognized as A&P International).  He was responsible for identification, review and analysis of all Latin American properties/businesses considered for potential acquisition, partnership or joint venture.
