Sean Callahan

Meet Sean Callahan, an experienced product manager, business development manager, and entrepreneur. With a passion for technology and business, Sean has spent the majority of his career bringing products to life and growing them through business development efforts. Currently, he is working with mission-driven technology startups through Solana Beach Labs, his latest venture.

Sean spent five years at Amazon.com in several leadership roles, including Senior Product Manager and Senior Business Development Manager for various business groups, such as Amazon Drive, Login with Amazon (LWA), and Amazon Rekognition. During his time at Amazon, Sean made significant product improvements and launched new products while also growing each business through his business development expertise.

In 2011, Sean negotiated a $10 million acquisition of his real-time photo-sharing platform, Plixi, by Lockerz, a Kleiner Perkins and Liberty Media-backed social commerce platform after growing the company to over 30 million monthly unique visitors. His startup RapidEngage was acquired by Seattle-based online research company QuestionPro in 2014. With his entrepreneurial vision and product management skills, Sean also founded other successful internet-based businesses such as AddsYou, OBEY Clothing, and Self Skateboards.

Sean obtained his MBA in Business Management with Distinction at London Metropolitan University and has a Bachelor of Science in High Technology Management from California State University San Marcos. Throughout his career, he has proved his skills and expertise in product management, product launch, product strategy, business development, project management, strategic partnerships, leadership, communication, SQL, and agile.
