Sean Burke is a seasoned educator with a passion for teaching and leadership. He holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Spanish and the other in Film Studies from Wesleyan University. His expertise lies in speaking fluent Spanish, public speaking, and tutoring students from different backgrounds.
Burke's professional journey started as an Elementary School Teacher at San Antonio ISD, where he honed his teaching skills. Later, he became a 6th-grade English teacher at North Star Academy Charter School of Newark. There, he focused on building the foundation of students' grammar and writing skills, preparing them for a successful future.
Burke also served as the Manager of Teacher Leadership Development at Teach For America, where he assisted teachers in developing and growing their skills. Later, he became a Founding Teacher and Grade Level Lead at KIPP New Jersey, where he was responsible for designing a curriculum that would help underperforming students in the region.
Sean Burke is a Head Of School at Friends Western School, bringing innovative ideas to the school's management. He is also fluent in Spanish and an exceptionally skilled public speaker, making him an ideal candidate for tutoring and teaching courses in the Spanish language. He is driven by his passion for education and working with students to help them achieve their full potential.
