Scott Viteri

Scott Viteri, a CS PhD candidate at Stanford University, has a diverse background in programming language theory, artificial intelligence, robotics and mathematics. He earned his Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he gained extensive experience as an artificial intelligence researcher and robotics and AI projects developer. He has also worked for companies such as Amazon and Roambotics as a software development engineer. Viteri's research focuses on the problem of program synthesis and the intersection between symbolic and sub-symbolic approaches, informed by hierarchical Bayesian approaches in computational cognitive science, function approximation methodologies in evolution dynamics and the AI story understanding philosophy of Patrick Winston and Genesis Group.
