Scott Parrish

Scott Parrish is an ordained deacon and a Pastor within The United Methodist Church, currently serving as a Mission Specialist in the Center for Congregational Excellence for the North Georgia Conference. His role primarily involves disaster response ministries, mission work, and community engagement, particularly focusing on assisting churches in recovery efforts after disasters, such as the tornadoes that affected the region in early 2023.1

Parrish has been active in ministry since the late 1980s, having served congregations across several states including Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Georgia. He has been part of the North Georgia Conference since 1994 and has worked on the Conference program ministries staff since 2014. His interests lie in congregational and connectional mission, emphasizing how churches can engage meaningfully with their communities.13

In his personal life, Scott has been married to Monica since 1987, and they reside on a family farm in Appling, Georgia. They have three adult children: Zeke, Sydney, and Cooper. He enjoys farming activities such as raising heirloom vegetables and sharing moments from farm life on social media.1
