Scott Norville

Scott Norville is an Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico, specializing in infectious diseases. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Baylor University in 1989 and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1993. Following his medical degree, he completed an internal medicine residency and an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, respectively.

Norville has held significant positions in the medical field, including serving as the division chief of infectious disease at the Tarrant County Hospital District in Fort Worth and as the medical director of the Infectious Disease Bureau for the New Mexico Department of Health. He has been a clinical educator at the University of New Mexico since July 2015.123

His areas of expertise include tropical medicine, endemic fungi, and population health. He is also proficient in French and Spanish, which enhances his ability to communicate with diverse patient populations.1
